The Suns are 3-0 with Kevin Durant taking part in for the staff. The two-time NBA champion is ready to play his first sport in Phoenix later tonight in opposition to the Thunder.
Suns head coach Monty Williams talked about integrating the celebrity into his staff forward of the Oklahoma City sport.
“He’s a basketball nut,” Williams stated about KD. “So he studies what we do, he understands a lot of the defenses that he’s been in. We try to do the same thing. He was with Ron Adams in OKC and Golden State and so a lot of what we do is based off of that.
“We still have a ways to go as far as making the right coverage adjustments quick. We’re not there yet. Offensively because of the shot making probably looks better than it really is. And so you’re always trying to tweak it to get it to a place where it’s more efficient. So I still think we’re a work in progress.”
Durant is averaging 26.7 factors, 7.3 rebounds and three.7 assists in 32.7 minutes over 3 video games for the Suns up to now.
