Sanofi revenue narrowly beats forecasts, sees stronger earnings development in 2023

Sanofi SA on Friday posted rising earnings and gross sales for the fourth quarter and stated it expects its earnings per share to develop in 2023.

reported internet revenue of 1.46 billion euros ($1.59 billion) for the quarter, up from EUR1.13 billion in the identical quarter of 2021, on gross sales that grew to EUR10.73 billion from EUR9.99 billion within the earlier 12 months.

Business internet revenue–a key metric that excludes some objects–was EUR2.14 billion within the quarter, up from the year-earlier interval’s EUR1.73 billion, the corporate stated. Business earnings per share grew 24% on 12 months and reached EUR1.71 within the quarter, Sanofi stated.

Analysts had anticipated enterprise internet revenue of EUR2.13 billion within the quarter, and enterprise EPS of EUR1.70.

Consensus noticed fourth-quarter gross sales at EUR10.96 billion.

For 2023, the corporate stated it expects enterprise EPS to develop within the low single digits at fixed alternate charges, with a forex impression of between minus 3.5% and minus 4.5%.
