It is made by combining areca nuts, tobacco, slaked lime, rose petals (gulkand), generally, silver foil (varakh) and extra in recent betel leaf (kattha). The speciality of Banarasi paan is that it’s made recent by the paan road distributors, one thing that we do not get to see all over the place.
