Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra not too long ago mentioned the constructive influence that new massive man Thomas Bryant is bringing to the group.

Reporter: “Now that Thomas Bryant’s on your team, what skills have you gained an extra appreciation for watching him work?”
Spoelstra: “Very efficient offensive player, for sure. He’s already been showing that throughout camp, his ability to score in the paint, his ability to bring a physicality on both ends of the court. I’ve been very encouraged by his communication level defensively. He’s coming in, intentional, to really try to be impactful on that side of the floor as well. Communication, awareness, directing the defense from that position, those are all really important steps.”
