The two largest trades earlier than this 12 months’s commerce deadline was Kevin Durant getting traded to the Suns and Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks.

Two-time NBA champion Kenny Smith thinks that celebrity trades are good for the league typically and these two are not any exception.

“It’s great when you have great players move,” he stated. “It’s new energy in new areas around the country. It was in Brooklyn now that energy is here (Phoenix). Energy is in Dallas now. It’s always great for basketball.”

He was then requested whether or not these two groups are adequate to win the NBA Finals. “They can win the finals, but they’re not the favorites,” Smith stated. “Denver is the favorite.”
