When Kobe Bryant entered the NBA in 1996, he wore quantity 8 jersey. This was the case till the 2006-2007 season when the Lakers legend switched to quantity 24.
The official story is that Bryant wished to the quantity 24 jersey as rookie as a result of that was his first highschool jersey quantity from. Since it was unavailable he went with quantity 8.
But in accordance with former NBA star Kevin Garnett, Kobe selected quantity 24 as a press release that he’s above 23, the jersey variety of Michael Jordan.
