Amidst latest speculations surrounding the involvement of Tyler Herro in potential commerce talks, Miami Heat President Pat Riley has emphatically acknowledged that the crew had by no means actively sought to commerce the promising younger participant.
Addressing the Damian Lillard commerce talks throughout the offseason, Riley clarified the crew’s stance on Herro, asserting, through Tim Reynolds of Associated Press, “We have never shopped him and had no interest in ever trading the guy.”
Though Riley admitted that when discussing a commerce of a participant of Lillard’s caliber, no participant is untouchable.
“But when you’re talking about acquiring one of the top five players in the league, there isn’t anybody on our team that won’t be discussed,” Riley added.
As talks concerning a possible commerce with the Portland Trail Blazers swirled, experiences surfaced of the Heat providing Herro as a part of the bundle for the famous person guard. Ultimately, Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks, and Herro remained part of the Heat’s roster.
