The New York Knicks’ season opener towards the Boston Celtics had its share of drama.
Notably, the sport witnessed two technical fouls for flopping, with each Jalen Brunson and Kristaps Porzingis incomes one every.
The NBA’s crackdown on exaggerated actions by gamers was evident.
However, essentially the most heated second of the evening revolved round an unintended elbow to the face of Isaiah Hartenstein.
The incident resulted in blood on the Knicks heart’s lip and a further technical foul issued to the Celtic concerned within the play.
“I love it. The grit. That’s a part of the game,” Hartenstein stated. “That’s where us as a team, we kind of like that grit.
“You look at us last year, we want to still keep it. I get elbowed in the face, I’m cool with that.”
Porzingis stated he didn’t notice how onerous he hit Hartenstein till seeing the blood and the replay.
