Spud Webb predicts NBA Dunk Contest winner – Mahaz News

Former NBA participant Spud Webb who gained the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1986 picked his favourite to win this yr’s contest.

He went with Kenyon Martin Jr. of the Houston Rockets. The different contestants are Mac McClung (Philadelphia 76ers), Trey Murphy III (New Orleans Pelicans) and Jericho Sims (New York Knicks).

“So I’m going to go with Junior,” Webb stated, per Nick Raffoul of Basketball Insiders. “Hopefully these young guys have crazy stuff that we’d only dream about dunking. He seems like one of those guys that dunk in the game a lot, so he might be very creative in the dunk contest.”

Historically, Webb thinks that Aaron Gordon who has by no means gained the competition if the perfect dunker. “Gordon and he never won. The guy got all 50s and didn’t win and he did the best dunk ever,” he stated.

“Dominique is the best dunk I’ve ever seen. He’d do the most powerful dunks but more creative and dunk like that, Gordon man. You’d never seen a guy do a dunk like that, he did behind his legs, something he did.”
