Cummins, who opted out of the third Border-Gavaskar Test, left for Sydney simply hours after Australia’s second Test loss in opposition to India in Delhi to be together with his mom. Steve Smith was introduced because the stand-in captain for the rest of the sequence.
Smith led Australia to a nine-wicket win in opposition to India in Indore to safe his crew’s place in World Test Championship (WTC) ultimate, scheduled to be performed at The Oval in June.
