The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has sacked its secretary common Shaji Prabhakaran as a consequence of “trust deficit”, a prime official stated on Wednesday.
AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey served the termination letter on Tuesday to Prabhakaran, who received the high-profile job on September 3 in 2022.
“The AIFF president has issued the termination letter to Prabhakaran. He is no longer the AIFF Secretary General,” AIFF vice-president NA Haris instructed PTI.
“Deputy secretary general Satyanarayan M will discharge his duties as acting secretary general,” he added.
Haris stated there was a “trust deficit” between Chaubey and Prabhakaran and even the AIFF govt committee members are usually not proud of the best way the sacked secretary common labored.
Prabhakaran was appointed on the first govt Committee assembly of the brand new dispensation which took cost after the elections on September 2.
He was earlier serving as Football Delhi president. He resigned from that submit and took cost as AIFF secretary common on September 6, 2022.
