Spanish soccer federation chief Luis Rubiales, engulfed in a scandal over allegations he gave an unsolicicted kiss to a participant on the ladies’s World Cup group final month, stated on Sunday he’ll resign from his place as president.

Mr. Rubiales introduced his resignation in an announcement.

A Spanish prosecutor filed a criticism with the High Court in opposition to Mr. Rubiales final week for sexual assault and coercion over his allegedly unsolicited kiss on the lips of Jenni Hermoso.
