“Looking at South Sydney on the weekend, there is something that’s not right at the moment. They look distracted and I think Sam might end up being a big loss for them.”
“I agree with that,” Anasta added.
“With Sam, he’s been there done that, he knows what it takes to win a premiership.
“He’s a people person though, he’s one of the players. They really respect him, they love him, he’s transparent, they have a good relationship with him but he identifies what it takes to win premierships.
“What worries me with Souths at the moment, they are a little bit lost and not where they need to be and he’d know that but he’d also know what the players need to do better and what they need to do to get back on track to win a comp.

“They’ve got the cattle Souths. They’ve got the team, they’ve got the players but they are underperforming.
“He’s still there for the rest of the year but moving forward, he’s going to be a big loss because he’s the type of guy you want around your squad because he’s a realist, he’ll tell you straight between the eyeballs and sometimes your big game players need that.”
Burgess has been tipped for excellent success as a head coach, with Matty Johns
“I think Sam Burgess will be outstanding,” Johns stated on Sunday Night with Matty Johns.
“I think Sam will have a long and successful coaching career. I think if he is given the job he will head over to Warrington. Then in my opinion I think he will be back here coaching an NRL side.
“He is a great leader. He has got great tactical sense and he is a player’s man.”
Rugby league nice Gorden Tallis gushed about Burgess, evaluating him to Queensland coach Billy Slater, and believes his choice to undertake an “apprenticeship” within the UK is the correct transfer.
“I’m just glad he is going to do an apprenticeship,” Tallis stated.
“He has a Billy Slater-type work ethic. If you’ve ever met Sam, you can’t help but be under his spell.

“There’s no doubt going over there and grabbing his own team and making some mistakes, probably away from the spotlight here but he’s going to be under the big spotlight (in England) because of what he’s done for that country.”
