Nathan Brown has opened up on his early season change from the Parramatta Eels to the Sydney Roosters, describing the transfer as “probably one of the weirdest situations” of his profession.
Brown was granted a launch from his take care of the Eels to make the change to the Roosters earlier this week, together with his former membership reportedly contributing a major chunk of his deal.
The 30-year-old solely penned a one-year take care of the tricolours however will hope a string of stable performances will catapult him again into Origin rivalry as he final pulled on the NSW shirt in 2020.
Brown had not too long ago put pen to paper on a brand new take care of the Eels and was caught unexpectedly with the early launch, with Parramatta giving him their causes for the shock transfer.
However, Brown is worked up to get going together with his new group.
“It was probably one of the weirdest situations I’ve ever been a part of,” Brown advised The Sydney Morning Herald.
“I’d just re-signed at the club and a few months later they are telling me to look elsewhere. It was a bit of a weird situation. Everything happens for a reason and, if it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t be at a club like the Roosters.
“There were a few explanations but, at the end of the day, I can’t control their explanations or the way they do things.
“I can only control what I can control, and that is turning up day in and day out for my teammates and having a great attitude.
“Their decisions are up to them; I can’t control that. That was the club I was employed at, at the time. Now that I’m looking back, I’m glad it happened and have an opportunity at the Roosters.”
