‘He let his team down’: Knights sin bin results in loopy seven minute hat-trick

Newcastle misplaced a person to the sin bin within the first half which one NRL nice believed “turned the game on its head” with the Dolphins taking full benefit of the additional participant.

Isaako and the Dolphins would flip it on quickly after, with the winger scoring a hat trick in seven minutes, leading to a 14-6 scoreline when Fitzgibbon’s ten minutes ended.

Cronk and Mal Meninga agreed with the choice with Cronk labelling it the “moment of the first half.”

“It turned the game on its head,” Cronk stated on Fox League.

“Lachlan Fitzgibbon from behind does the traditional hip drop, loses his legs, weight on the back… I agree with a sin bin and basically turned the game in the Dolphins favour.”

“There’s no doubt it was a hip drop and no doubt he should have got ten minutes,” Mal Meninga stated.

“He let his team down obviously.”
