“He’s a big part of our team and while he hasn’t played a lot of first grade, he’s someone everyone in the group loves.

“It’s great to see him get a game in front of so many of his family.”

Cherry-Evans additionally hoped he didn’t offend the Bulldogs by handing Chan Kum Tong a particular second in entrance of his household.

“Someone else threw it at me the idea and I mean, I hope the Bulldogs don’t take offence to that,” Cherry-Evans mentioned.

“I understand those sorts of things might look a little rude and that, but it genuinely just came from a good place of wanting to give someone on debut a nice moment.
