Suli revealed additional particulars behind the swap deal this week which noticed Dragons veteran Aaron Woods traded to the Sea Eagles in change for Viliame Fifita and Alec Tuitavake.
The swap left loads of folks perplexed and Suli offered context when requested in regards to the arrival of Fifita at a press convention on Tuesday.
The pair are each managed by Mario Tartak and Suli revealed that, similar to himself forward of the 2022 season, Fifita wasn’t eager on becoming a member of the Dragons.
“We’ve got the same manager and he (Tartak) let me know that he was looking to come here and from what my manager said, he (Fifita) didn’t want to come, he loved it over there at Manly,” Suli mentioned.
“But yeah, I was in the same situation as well, I didn’t want to come here but I’ve got to do what’s best for me and best for my footy and he’s coming to do the same thing.
“Hopefully he comes and has a crack and hopefully does well.”

Foxsports.com.au contacted Tartak to make clear Suli’s feedback and he defined the Western Sydney product was speaking about leaving his consolation zone.
