NRL chief government Andrew Abdo has labelled Papua New Guinea’s ardour for rugby league “inspirational” amid a push for the Kumuls to be granted a license to develop into the 18th staff.

“It was wonderful to spend time with Prime Minister Marape, who shares a deep connection with the game and to witness first hand the passion and genuine love the PNG community have for the game.”

Abdo’s feedback come after it emerged ARLC chairman Peter V’landys reportedly started his due diligence relating to introducing a brand new staff into the competitors.
