The Knights have confirmed they’ve signed Penrith halfback Jack Cogger to a three-year-deal from 2024.
The 25-year-old began his profession on the Knights in 2016, enjoying 20 video games over three seasons earlier than spending two years on the Bulldogs and two years at Huddersfield of the UK Super League.
Cogger, who made the transfer again to the NRL forward of this season after the Huddersfield stint, took his first grade alternative with each fingers in 2023 following Nathan Cleary’s mid-season hamstring damage.

It seems Cogger has been signed for depth functions, with Newcastle’s first string halfback Jackson Hastings enjoying some career-best footy of late, serving to the Knights to 4 straight wins.
The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio believes that the Cogger signing and Newcastle’s reported curiosity in Dragons playmaker Jayden Sullivan might be interpreted as a warning shot to Hastings, who’s on $600,000 a yr contract up till the tip of 2025.
“He’ll (Cogger) return to the Knights on a three-year deal, which is a fair deal for a player who is a back up half,” Riccio stated.
“They also want to meet with Jayden Sullivan. That’s a warning shot across the bow to the current halves that are there.”
