Broncos coach Kevin Walters has delivered an icy response after he was questioned concerning the membership’s failed pursuit of million-dollar man David Fifita.
The consultant backrower opted to re-sign with the Titans on a three-year extension to stay on the Gold Coast and earn a reported $900,000-a-season based on The Courier Mail.
Both the Raiders and Broncos had been eager to safe the barnstorming ahead, and the Red Hill membership had even reportedly cleared $1.5 million in cap area getting ready to desk a profitable deal.

Titans coach Justin Holbrook even revealed Walters had been “ringing” his marquee man within the hopes of securing his providers.
Walters was requested ”what’s your aspect of the story” after failing to land Fifita’s signature and produce him again to the Brisbane membership.
He was clearly pissed off with the query and stated “yeah, no we aren’t going to talk about that today, this is about the Broncos playing the Cowboys”.
Another journalist pressed Walters once more, and requested if he was “disappointed” the membership missed out on signing Fifita.
“Obviously the club was in discussions and they were in the race, he said he weighed it up,” the journalist stated.

“Pretty sure he’s not playing tomorrow night for the Cowboys,” Walters stated.
“That’s all I am worried about.”
Walters was then requested if he was shocked Titans coach Justin Holbrook brazenly admitted that the Broncos coach had spoken to Fifita.
“I am pretty sure we are playing for the Cowboys tomorrow night, so we will focus on that thanks,” Walters bristled.
The Broncos’ failed pursuit of Fifita comes solely every week after two key gamers introduced they’d depart for the membership’s latest rivals.
Centre Herbie Farnworth and prop Tom Fleger each signed with the Dolphins and can link-up with their new membership in 2024.
