‘Priceless to our family’: NRL star’s father’s impassioned plea for return of ‘treasured’ jerseys

A 19-year-old man has been charged by Queensland police for an alleged theft with Sea Eagles gun Jaxson Paulo’s taking part in jerseys being stolen.

Queensland police launched an announcement on Wednesday morning, explaining “an alleged break in occurred at an address in Highland Park” within the early hours of November 22.

The house was that of Paulo’s father Andrew, with a Redbank Plains man charged with the offences on November 24.

Jaxson Paulo made his NRL debut in 2020, taking part in for the Rabbitohs earlier than transferring to the Roosters in 2023 and finally switching to the Sea Eagles forward of the 2024 season.

Andrew Paulo made an impassioned plea on Facebook, writing: “Please I’m asking anyone in the community and the NRL community to share this post.

“My kids wore and played in these jerseys in some monumental times of their lives. These are priceless to our family and the sentimental value has caused huge sadness for me and my wife.

“I would ask the thieves or anyone who has seen or know the whereabouts of the jerseys to kindly return them or leave them somewhere they can be returned to us.
