Panthers skipper Nathan Cleary has been labelled a “superstar human” after his selfless acts for a younger fan battling most cancers have been revealed.
A tradesman engaged on ARLC chairman Peter V’landys’ dwelling informed him that Cleary had been travelling to Bear Cottage in Manly to spend time with Nicola Smith in line with the SMH.
Tragically the nine-year-old misplaced her battle with most cancers in latest days, and Cleary wore a tribute to her on his boots when Penrith confronted the Sea Eagles in Round 24.

V’landys praised the Panthers’ marquee star for filling the younger ladies closing days with pleasure, doing so of his personal accord.
He even joked the builder, who’s a diehard Eels fan, might convert his allegiances.
“This is one of many acts of kind-heartedness I hear about Nathan. Not only is he a superstar player but a superstar human being. He may even do the impossible and turn the Parra man to a Panther,” V’landys stated.
Cleary informed the SMH he had met Nicola Smith at a coaching session in 2022, the place he discovered she was going via a “tough time”.
He then defined giving again to the neighborhood was the “best part about what we do” and defined that Nicola was a “soilder”.
“I got to meet the family and I stayed in contact with them. I was lucky enough to see her again earlier this year, and at the time she was defying the odds,” Cleary stated.

“Midway through this year I went out to visit her and she was in palliative care. I was so fortunate to spend time with her beautiful family. She was a big Panthers fan, so she meant a lot to me.”
The news of Cleary’s selfless act comes as an enormous questions has been raised concerning his on-field capability — is he within the dialog to be the most effective halfback of all time?
The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield believes he’s.
