“It was Broncs versus the Bulldogs, a tight game, Jimmy the Jet skipped across the field [and] hit me on a short ball, I scored under the sticks and he [Foran] just happened to be there. “Because I was so hyped up that I scored to get us in front, I push him and it starts from there.”

The rivalry, as Ofahengaue defined, didn’t cease there.

“We had a little run-in, we were playing at CommBank stadium. We had words to say again and it kind of escalated to this one. We just always have little run-ins.”

Ofahengaue although stated he doesn’t suppose it’s “anything personal from both sides” and even defended Foran’s actions in Sunday’s recreation, which ended up gifting the Tigers discipline place.

“This one I can defend him, I thought he was coming in to grabs my legs and got worried he was coming to get my legs,” Ofahengaue stated.

“I grabbed him by the jersey and that’s what kind of set him off. He thought I was having a crack at him, came in with a swinging arm which upset me. It’s nothing serious.

“To his defence, he was angry because I grabbed his shirt and then he came in with the forearm and that hit my eye and I was very upset about that.”
