‘Transformed this team’: Webster lauds Johnson and crimson scorching Warriors as high 4 hopes agency

“They’re going really well and obviously have a good spirit about them,” Fitzgibbon stated.

“Webby has done a really good job to get them all united and playing strong and the benefit of having everyone live back in New Zealand has worked well for them but I’m more concerned with our blokes at the moment.”

Griffin – who coached 231 NRL video games in stints on the Broncos, Panthers and Dragons – echoed the sentiment.

“The Warriors have always had potential, they’ve always been a team people want to see do well,” Griffin stated on Fox League.

“Webster has unlocked the potential in Shaun Johnson, settled him down, he now plays a simple game.

“They know exactly where they’re going as a team and that comes back to the first-year coach. He’s transformed this team into a finals contender in just 20 rounds.”
