Troy Dargan’s household launch GoFundMe to deliver him again to Australia

The household of Troy Dargan have launched a GoFundMe to help in the price of bringing him again to Australia from the Cook Islands.

Dargan misplaced his life following a motorbike accident on Christmas Eve whereas holidaying with household within the South Pacific, he was 26.

In the wake of his passing his household have arrange the fundraiser web page with a heartfelt message being posted on the web page.

The web page was launched shortly after midnight on December 25 and had a goal of $25,000 to be raised, however at 12pm on December 26 it had soared previous that mark with over $34,000 being raised.

“Dearest Family, Friends & Fans of Troy ‘ Tj’ Dargan. On behalf of my beloved Sister in Law Wendy and her husband Troy Dargan it pains me so deeply to write this,” the submit learn.

“Tj has tragically passed away from a motorcycle accident while holidaying with his parents and siblings in the Cook Islands.

“Our Family is trying to bring his body back to Sydney, Australia. With him passing just before Christmas and the suddenness of it all, I am trying to help ease the financial costs in any way that I can and kindly ask people to donate to this cause. Due to the timing of it all, the expenses are far greater than we could’ve imagined.

“He was the most loving, caring son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend you could have asked for. Tj never gave up even when it got hard. He pushed himself to all limits and that’s what made him so incredible.

“There are no words that will ever be able to express how deeply hurt we all are as a family and it is truly one of the most devastating things anyone of us could go through right now.

“Any help in this time of need would be greatly appreciated. Please help us bring TJ home. Any excess funds will go to his funeral costs. Forever in our hearts. We love you Troy ‘Tj ‘ Dargan. R.I.L

The Canberra Raiders paid tribute to Dargan, who had solely joined the membership in November after signing a improvement deal for 2024.

“This is a very sad time for Troy’s family and friends and we will be respecting their privacy and offering support where we can, to help them at this tough time,” Raiders boss Don Furner stated.

“Troy was just 26 years old and we were looking forward to him having the opportunity to further his NRL career with our club.

“The news is also very sad for Troy’s current teammates, and we will be offering support to any of them who need it at this time.”

The former Australian schoolboys playmaker began his profession with Parramatta earlier than he moved to the Broncos the place he spent two seasons within the Queensland Cup earlier than he joined Souths.

Dargan was within the Sea Eagles system in 2023 and performed six matches for Blacktown Workers. Tributes have continued to movement for the previous NRL participant.
