Elon Musk advised Twitter staff to pause function improvement as they labored to resolve an outage that left customers unable to tweet, ship or learn direct messages for greater than an hour on Wednesday, the Information reported.

“Please pause for now on new feature development in favor of maximizing system stability and robustness, especially with the Super Bowl coming up,” Musk wrote to staff in an electronic mail, in accordance with the report.
