After Microsoft introduced that it was promoting non-EU cloud gaming rights to Ubisoft, EU regulators are actually wanting into the matter to verify its impression.


EU antitrust regulators will look at whether or not Microsoft’s proposal to promote its non-EU cloud streaming rights to Ubisoft Entertainment in a bid to achieve UK approval for its Activision Blizzard bid will have an effect on its concessions to the European Commission.

“We are closely following the developments in the UK and assessing the impact this may have on the commitments accepted by the Commission,” a spokesperson for the European Union government stated in an e-mail.

The EU competitors enforcer cleared the deal in May after Microsoft agreed to licence standard Activision video games resembling “Call of Duty” to rival recreation streaming platforms for 10 years.
