After being down for a couple of hours on Thursday, Instagram is now working usually. The downside with server connectivity, app, and login that customers reported has been resolved, Meta-owned social media stated.
“Earlier tonight, a technical issue caused people to have trouble accessing Instagram. We resolved this issue for everyone as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience. #instagramdown,” Instagram public relations group wrote on Twitter.
Over 50,000 customers reported points with the social media platform, in response to Downdetector, an internet site that tracks stories of outages. The Downdetector outage graph confirmed a spike in stories at round 7 am. In India, it reached peak at 8:30 am with greater than 3,000 individuals reporting Instagram being down for them.
While over 50% of customers reported downside in server connectivity, 20% stated they had been going through login points.
The outage of photo-sharing and social networking companies affected customers worldwide. Along with India, Instagram was reported to have down for over 46,000 customers within the United States. Furthermore, over 3,000 customers within the United Kingdom reported having issue accessing the service on Downdetector.
