As per a written reply submitted within the Parliament by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITy), the federal government follows due course of as envisaged within the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Access of Information for Public) Rules, 2009.

As per the principles, MEITy and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting can problem blocking instructions if the data infringes the provisions laid out in Section 69A of IT Act, 2000, the reply knowledgeable.
