NASA’s capsule with asteroid samples returns to Earth

A capsule carrying samples from a near-Earth asteroid returned to the bottom, touchdown within the Utah Desert on Sunday. This is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA’s first asteroid pattern return mission by way of which it hopes to learn the way our planet and photo voltaic system shaped, in addition to the origin of organics which will have led to life on Earth.

NASA’s OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification and Security–Regolith Explorer) spacecraft briefly touched the Bennu asteroid’s floor and picked up a pattern of rock and dirt from the asteroid in 2020. Today, it sped previous Earth and jettisoned its pattern capsule containing materials from the asteroid.
