Nokia mentioned on Monday it has signed a brand new cross-license patent settlement with Samsung following the expiry of a earlier settlement on the finish of 2022.

”Under the settlement, which covers Nokia’s basic innovations in 5G and different applied sciences, Samsung will make funds to Nokia for a multi-year interval starting 1 January 2023,” the Finnish firm mentioned.

The phrases of the settlement stay confidential, it added.

The settlement is per Nokia’s earlier long-term outlook disclosure, the corporate mentioned.
