BRUSSELS: Chinese social media firm TikTok on Thursday pledged to do extra to deal with disinformation on its platform by including extra security options and broadening its fact-checking measures, spurred by the function performed by state-controlled media and the struggle in Ukraine.

Presenting its progress report on what it did to dwell as much as a beefed-up EU code of apply on disinformation up to now six months, the corporate acknowledged the necessity to step up its efforts.
