There are some people who find themselves in the right place at the right time, and that’s what happened to Melissa Sargent Louis. This woman saw a trash bag on the side of the road, and when she looked inside, her heart dropped. Melissa worked at an elementary school in Kentucky, and as any mother of two knows, it could be difficult to get out of the house on time every day.
On this day, Melissa was running late. One of her sons couldn’t find his backpack, and the other couldn’t find his sneakers. When she was rushing around the house trying to get her boys ready, she never imagined that their tardiness would save a life. After dropping her boys off at school, she tried to get to work as quickly as possible. She decided to take a shortcut that would bring her along the back roads of Kentucky. As she drove, she approached a trash bag.
Typically, this would not be all that strange, but this trash bag was moving. She pulled up alongside the bag. She knew that there was something alive inside that bag, and if she didn’t stop, whatever it was likely would have died. She put being late for work out of her mind and grabbed her cell phone. She wanted to take a video of what was happening.
