Mumbai Police have registered an FIR in opposition to former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli for allegedly assaulting and abusing his spouse in an inebriated state at his house in suburban Bandra, an official stated on Sunday. No arrest has been made thus far in reference to the alleged incident which occurred on Friday, he stated. Kambli’s spouse Andrea in her police criticism alleged that he threw the deal with of a cooking pan at her as a result of which she suffered a head harm, the official from Bandra police station stated.

The incident occurred between 1 pm and 1.30 pm on Friday when Kambli reached his flat allegedly drunk and began abusing his spouse, he stated.

Kambli’s spouse later went to the Bhabha Hospital for a medical examination.

Based on her criticism, the Bandra police on Friday registered the FIR in opposition to Kambli underneath Indian Penal Code Sections 324 (voluntarily inflicting harm by harmful weapons) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of peace), the official stated.

An investigation is on into the case, he added.
