IBM inks $2.3 billion deal to spice up AI cloud providing

IBM on Monday mentioned it’s paying 2.1 billion ($2.3 billion) to purchase two items of a German software program firm to spice up its synthetic intelligence and hybrid cloud choices.

The all-cash deal has IBM shopping for Software AG’s  StreamSets and webMethods from private-equity group Silver Lake.

IBM mentioned StreamSets will add information ingestion capabilities  whereas webMethods will present extra integration and API administration instruments for his or her hybrid multi-cloud environments.

IBM mentioned the deal is predicted to shut within the second quarter of 2024 and might be financed with money available.
