J.M. Smucker Co. is nearing a deal to purchase Twinkies maker Hostess Brands Inc., the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday evening.
According to the Journal, which cited sources accustomed to the matter, the acquisition might be value roughly $4 billion, and might be introduced as quickly as Monday.
Last month, Smucker
raised its revenue forecast for the 12 months, thanks to cost will increase. Besides its eponymous jams and jellies, its manufacturers embody Carnation, Jif, Knotts Berry Farm and Santa Cruz Organic.
