Smucker nears deal to purchase Twinkies maker Hostess for about $4 billion: report

J.M. Smucker Co. is nearing a deal to purchase Twinkies maker Hostess Brands Inc., the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday evening.

According to the Journal, which cited sources accustomed to the matter, the acquisition might be value roughly $4 billion, and might be introduced as quickly as Monday.
