Former India Cricketer Arrested In Cheque-Bouncing Case

City police on Wednesday executed a non-bailable arrest warrant towards former cricketer Prashant Vaidya in a cheque bouncing case. Vaidya, who performed 4 One Day Internationals for India within the mid-Nineteen Nineties, was produced earlier than a court docket which launched him on a surety bond, a police official mentioned. He had allegedly bought metal from an area dealer and issued a cheque which bounced, following which the dealer demanded that he make contemporary fee, mentioned inspector Vitthalsingh Rajput of Bajaj Nagar police station.
