ICC lifts suspension on Sri Lanka Cricket

The International Cricket Council (ICC) introduced on Sunday that Sri Lanka Cricket’s (SLC) suspension could be lifted with quick impact.

SLC was suspended in November for being in critical breach of its obligations as an ICC Member, specifically, the requirement to handle its affairs autonomously and make sure that there is no such thing as a authorities interference within the governance, regulation and/or administration of cricket in Sri Lanka.

The Board have been monitoring the state of affairs because the suspension and is now glad that SLC is now not in breach of membership obligations, confirmed ICC.

Sports Minister Harin Fernando tweeted in regards to the lifting of suspension.
