The Indian group wore black armbands throughout the third Test in opposition to England in Rajkot in reminiscence of the previous India captain Dattajirao Gaekwad, who handed away earlier this week.

Gaekwad, who died on Tuesday because of age-related illnesses, was the daddy of former India opener and nationwide coach Aunshuman Gaekwad.
He performed 11 Tests for India between 1952 and 1961, captaining the nationwide group in 1959 when it toured England.
The right-hander made his debut in opposition to England at Leeds in 1952 and his closing worldwide recreation was in opposition to Pakistan in Chennai in 1961.
In the Ranji Trophy, Gaekwad represented Baroda from 1947 to 1961. He scored 3,139 runs at a mean of 47.56, together with 14 lots of.
His highest was a 249 not out in opposition to Maharashtra within the 1959-60 season.
