India, West Indies fined for gradual over-rate throughout first T20I

Team India and West Indies have been fined for sustaining a gradual over-rate throughout the first T20 International in Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday.

India was fined 5 per cent of its match payment for falling one over in need of the minimal over price, whereas West Indies has been fined 10 per cent of its match payment for falling two overs in need of the minimal over price.

Match referee Richie Richardson imposed the sanction after Hardik Pandya and Rovman Powell’s sides have been dominated to be one and two overs quick respectively of the goal after time allowances have been considered.

In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC code of conduct for gamers and participant help personnel, which pertains to minimal over-rate offences, gamers are fined 5 per cent of their match charges for each over their facet fails to bowl within the allotted time, topic to a cap of fifty per cent of the match payment.

Pandya and Powell pleaded responsible to the offences and accepted the proposed sanctions, so there was no want for a proper listening to.
