IPL 2023: Jonny Bairstow dominated out for Punjab Kings, to get replaced by Matthew Short

Punjab Kings’ Jonny Bairstow was dominated out of the Indian Premier League 2023, the group confirmed on Saturday.

“We regret to inform you that Jonny Bairstow will not be a part of the IPL this season because of his injury. We wish him the best and look forward to seeing him next season.” the group posted on its Twitter account.

Playing for the Adelaide Strikers, Short scored 458 runs in 14 innings at a strike fee of over 144. The 27-year-old hit two fifties and 100 within the Big Bash final season.
