Former captain Sourav Ganguly on Sunday backed stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to characteristic in India’s squad for the T20I World Cup in June. The duo, who haven’t featured in any T20I for about 14 months, have made themselves out there for the game’s shortest format, and it stays to be seen if they’re picked for the three-match T20I sequence towards Afghanistan, starting January 11 in Mohali.

The 22-year-old left-handed batter managed solely 50 runs in 4 innings on the difficult South African tracks of Centurion and Cape Town because the sequence resulted in a 1-1 draw.

“He has played well in the second Test, it’s just the start of his career. He will get enough opportunities,” Ganguly mentioned throughout a promotional occasion right here.
