The second Women’s Premier League (WPL) public sale for the upcoming WPL 2024 season will probably be held on December 9 in Mumbiai.
The BCCI on Saturday introduced that 165 gamers registered for the WPL public sale. The public sale listing includes 104 Indians and 61 abroad gamers of which 15 gamers are from affiliate nations.
A complete of 30 slots can be found with the 5 groups, with 9 spots left for abroad gamers.
Only two gamers – West Indies’ Deandra Dottin and Australia’s KIm Garth – have set themselves on the highest base worth of INR 50 lakh.
60 gamers, together with 21 abroad cricketers, had been retained throughout 5 franchises, whereas 29 gamers had been launched from their present squads.
Gujarat Giants will head into the 2024 WPL public sale with the largest wage cap obtainable (Rs. 5.95 crore). Defending champion Mumbai Indians may have the smallest purse (2.1 crore) at its disposal amongst the 5 franchises.
