We took a rickshaw and went to live with Daisy Irani aunty for next 5 years.”

Farah added that after staying in her aunt’s retailer room for five years, they moved again to her father’s home as her mother had discovered a housekeeping job at a lodge. Talking about how poor they had been, she stated, “Humare ghar mein literally kujh nahi tha, hum ghar ka darwaza khula karke sote they kyunki koi aayega to kujh dekar hi jayega, leke koi ja nahi sakta.” She stated the lock had damaged they usually had no cash to restore the latch and subsequently, they used to maintain the mortar and pestle behind the door at night time in order that one might push the door to enter.
