Before reaching a verdict, the jury deliberated for about 4 and a half hours. Priya Chaudhry, an lawyer for Majors, advised Mahaz News in a press release that he “still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”

The incident that led to the trial concerned a home dispute in March, involving Majors and his former girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Majors had beforehand pleaded not responsible to misdemeanour prices of assault and aggravated harassment.

Prosecutors claimed throughout closing arguments that Majors “didn’t hesitate to use physical violence” in opposition to Jabbari.
